Geographical and Historical information from the year 1868.

"SKIDBY, (or Skidby with Skidbycarr), a parish in the Hunsley-Beacon division of Harthill wapentake, East Riding county York, 4 miles S.W. of Beverley. The land is chiefly arable. The village is small, but well built. The living is a perpetual curacy* in the diocese of York, value £105, in the patronage of the Bishop of Chester. The church is dedicated to St. Michael."
