A parish town, in the wapentake of Howdenshire, Hunsley-Beacon division of Harthill; 2½ miles from Beverley, 7 from South Cave, 11 from Hull. Population Howden 324, Provost-Fee 209, total 533. The Church, a pecuilar, is a rectory, dedicated to All Saints, in the deanery of Harthill.
