Geographical and Historical information from the year 1750.

"MASHAM, a parish in the North Riding of Yorkshire, 165 cm. 207 mm. from London, has a cloth mf. with a corn-mill on the r. Ure, and a warren in the neighbouring moor, called Ellingstring-Moor. It was once the manor of the Lds. Scroop, and afterwards came by marriage to the Danbies. It has a Mt. on Tu. Fairs June 11, Aug. 15, 22, and Sept. 11."
