Geographical and Historical information from the year 1750.

"SEAMER, a parish in the North Riding of Yorkshire, formerly bel. to the Piercies Es. of Northumberland; and is the place where a rebellion broke out in the R. of Edw. VI. which was loun quieted by the K's pardon of all, but the ringleaders. Seamer-Hall, a seat of the D. of Leeds, and Seamer-Beacon lie on the N. side of it."
