HOLDEN: Holden Congregational Church History up to 1868.


This congregation had its origin in 1766. It is now connected with the Lancashire Union.
  • Rev. BENJ. SOWDEN was for some time minister, and was buried here.
  • 1815. Rev. H. DRIVER. Ord.
  • 1817. He was minister for forty-three years. Died June 14, 1860. Vacant.
