"BRAYTON, a parish in the W.R. of Yorkshire."


"GATEFORTH, (given as "GAYTEFORTH") in the parish of Brayton, in the West Riding of Yorkshire, bet. Snath and Sherborn, was the Lp. of Henry de Bromslet, who was the principal founder of the order of white-fryars all over England."


"HAMBLETON, in the parish of Brayton, in the West Riding of Yorkshire, on the S. W. side of Selby, has annual races on its Down, for the K's. plate of 100 guineas."
