The place:

A parish town, Agbrigg division of Agbrigg and Morley, Liberty of Pontefract; 3½ miles from Wakefield, 6 from Pontefract, 29 from York. Population 459. The Church is a rectory, dedicated to All Saints, in the deanery of Pontefract.
