John Preston, Constable, his accompts Taken and Si[g]ned this 11th day of March 1700 and 11/12ths. And wee find he hath Rece[ive]d of the Town the Sum of four pounds Three Shillings seven pence Three farthings. And he shall Disburse by his accompts four pounds four shillings Nine pence farthing. So there Remains Due to the said John Preston from the Town of Little Houghton the Sum of One Shilling penny halfpenny which his Successor Wm. Haworth promises to pay for the said Town. And wee whose names are hereunder subscribed to the Truth of These accompts.

Imp.Wee have not any Popish Recusants nor any yt refuse to come to Divine service w[i]th in our Constablry.
2ly Wee have not had any fellons Committed nor any Robberies within our Constablry. Watch and Ward have been duly observed . Hues and Cryes duly Prosecuted.
3ly Wee have not any new erected Cottages nor any inmate entertained within our Constablry.
4ly Wee have not found any Rogues no Vagrant persons within our Constablry since the last Assises.
5ly Wee have but two Ale House keepers and their names is John Walton and Robt. Day and they are Licenced.
6ly Wee have not any unlawful weights or Measures within our Constablry to my knowledge.
7ly Wee have not any fore stealers or Regrators of any Corn or Grain within our Constablry to my knowledge.
8ly Our Constables name is William Haworth and he was lawfully chosen by Neighbours.
9ly Wee have not any Masters that have put away their Servants nor any Servants that lives out of place within our Constablry.
10ly Wee have not any Bridges or Causies in decay within our Constablry to my knowledge.
11ly Wee have not any Poor people that wandereth a begging out of our Parish.
12ly Wee have not any profaners, swearers or Cursors within our Constablry to my knowledge.
13ly Wee have no Riout Routs or unlawfull Assemblies within our Constablry.

And wee finde he hath Rece[ive]d of the Town of Little Houghton the Sume of Five pounds five shillings and eight pence. And he hath Disburst the Sume of Two pounds four shillings sixpence farthing which ye S[ai]d Robt. Day is indebeted to the S[ai]d Town the Sume of One shilling and penny three farthings which ye S[ai]d Robt. Day promises to pay to ye next ensuing Overseer. John Preston for ye S[ai]d Town. And we hereunder whose names are Subscribed to the Truth of these accounts.

So wee finde the Town Endebetted to the S[ai]d John Preston [insert 7s 1 farthing] which the S[ai]d William Wordsworth promises to pay the S[ai]d Sume of Seven shillings one farthing for the S[ai]d Town. And wee finde ye S[ai]d Benjamin Woodhead have Rece[ive]d ye Sume of Six pounds Two shillings and seaven pence and he hath Disburst at ye Church Four pounds Ten shillings eleaven pence farthing and Disburst to ye Poor Two pounds Twelve shillings and sixpence. So he hath Disburst in all Seaven pounds Three shillings Five pence farthing. So wee finde the S[ai]d Town of Little Houghton to be indebeted to the S[ai]d John Preston the Sume of One pound Fifteen shillings Four pence Three farthings which William Wordsworth his successor promises to pay the Sume of One pound Five shillings Four pence Three farthings to the S[ai]d John Preston for the S[ai]d Town. So we finde the S[ai]d Benjamin Woodhead Indebeted to the S[ai]d Town of Little Houghton the Sume of Seaven shillings Six pence Three farthings which Sume the S[ai]d Benjamin Woodhead promises to pay the S[ai]d Sume of 7/6d 3 farthings to Robt. And wee finde he hath Rece[ive]d of the Town of Little Houghton the Sume of Three pounds Two shillings one penny Three farthings. And he hath Disburst for the S[ai]d Town Two pounds Fifteen shillings Six pence Three farthings So we finde the S[ai]d William Haworth Indebeted to the S[ai]d Town Six shillings Seaven pence. So the S[ai]d William Haworth promises to pay ye S[ai]d 6/7d to ye S[ai]d Town.

Wordsworth the Sume of One shillings Three farthings.

So we finde the S[ai]d Town is Indebeted to ye S[ai]d William Haworth the Sume of Four shillings Tenn pence farthing which Thomas Kenyon promises to pay the S[ai]d 4/10d farthing for the Town.

Thomas Kenyon Overseer for the Highways made his Accounts And wee finde he hath Rece[ive]d Two pounds Three shillings Eight pence and Disburst One pound Fourteen shillings and Eleaven pence Three farthing. So wee finde the S[ai]d Thomas Kenyon Indebetted to the S[ai]d Town the Sume of Eight shillings Eight pence farthing which sume he promises to pay unto John Preston his successor for the use of the Town.
In Wittness whereof we have hereunto Set our hands this day above written-

So we finde the S[ai]d John Preston Indebetted to the S[ai]d Town the Sume of Four shillings farthing which same John Preston promises to pay to the S[ai]d sume to William Wordsworth for the use of the S[ai]d Town.
In Wittness whereof we have hereunto Set our hands this day above written-

Robert Wordsworth Churchwarden and Overseer of the Poor hath made his Accounts this day above written And we finde the Said Robert Wordsworth hath Received the Sume of ffive pounds Eleven shillings Nine pence farthing and he hath Disbursed the Sume of Ffive pounds Seven shillings Tenn pence Three farthings so wee finde the Said Robert WordsworthIndebetted to the said Town the Sume of Three shillings Tenn pence Two farthings which Sume the said Robert Wordsworth promises to pay unto James Adams ye next ensuing Offerser for the use of the Town
