The place:

A Chapelry in the parish and borough of Leeds, Morley division of Agbrigg and Morley, Liberty of Pontefract; 2¼ miles from Leeds, 8 from Bradford. Population 4,273. The Church, built in the time of Charles I, is a perpetual curacy, dedicated to St. Bartholomew.
