1572. Body to be buried in parish church of Leeds by my parents and friends in the south side, after
and according to my degree. To Anne, my wife, my lands, tenements, freehold and copyhold, and my booth
in Sanct Bartylmewe, nere London, towards the bringing up of my sex children; remainder to my sons in
this manner: - I will that my son, George Nettleton, and his heirs, after the death of my wife, have
the tenements in Leeds in the occupation of me and William Coldcall, to pay to my son, James N., £20.
To the said George N. and his heirs, after the decease of my wife, Anne, reu'tion of my acre of land
in Burmantofts, and my half acre of land in Long halfe acres, and my half acre in the town Clyffe neie
unto Churle medows. To my son Thomas N., after the decease of my wife, my cottage and my close situate
in the Righe, holden by copy of Court Roole of the quene's majestie as of her manner of Leeds, now in
occ. of John Whalley and of me. My son, William N., to have all my close called BlackBank, in Knowstropp,
and my boythe in Sanct Bartylmew, after my wife's decease. Residue, after debts, etc., to be divided
into three parts, one to Anne, my wife, and the other to my two daughters, Elizabeth N., and Sibell N.
Executors - Anne, my wife, and George and William N., my sons. Witnesses -
William Cowper, William Brathwayt, Henry Almer, John Brathwait, and others. -
