proved 8 April 1573. Body to be buried in the parish church of Leeds. To William M., my son,
the termo of years in the fermhold which I know dwell at, called the Moregraunge, which said
graunge I have paid for a lease to be maid thereof, the some of 100£ to Mr. Robert Savile,
esquier, for 21 years. Anne, my wyf, to have the moity of the said freehold during widowhood.
Goods to be divided into three parts; one to my said wyf, another to my children, and the third to
myself. Anne, my wife, and William, my son, shall pay to Mr. Brian Baills, 10£ of the first rents
out of my land in Otley. To Anne, my wife, the moity of my lands in Otley. After debts out of my
own part, rest to be divided amongst my three youngest sons, Richard, Nicholas, and Lawrence.
William, my son, and Anne, my wife, shall make the portions of Margaret and Isabel, my
daughters, at the day of their marriage 20 marks a pece, and unto Alice, my youngest daughter,
on marriage, 6£, 13s, 4d. To William, my son, one graye ambling mare. To Richard, my son,
one black colt [to be kept for him four years]. To my daughters, Margaret, Isabel and Alice, each
a yowe. To Thomas Migley, a yowe. Executors - William, my son, and Anne, my wife.
Witnesses - Christopher Migley, clerk, Lawrence Rawson, Robert Priestley, Thomas Womersley,
and William Foster. Supervisors - Percival Thomlingson and Lawrence Rawson.
