Proved 9 January 1573. - Body to be buried in the parish church of Leeds. To William Lowcocke,
my best pair of hose, one pair of my best walker sheers at his own chosynge, and 40s. To
Christopher Musgrave, my worst dooskyne dublitte, one holyday shirtt, one other pair of my walker
shears, and 20s. To John Rawson, three pair of walker shears, with the rest of my shop geer, to
take the same of William Lowcocke and Christopher Musgrave when his year for which he is
hired is expired. To Cicily Ellis, 40s. To Thomas Rawson, my sworde. To William Syddall, of
Holbeck, my best felt hat, and to his wife 3 yards of line clothe. To Isabel Bywater, 5s. To
Elizabeth Hodgshon, 5s. To Alice Hodgshon, 5s. To Christopher Willance, 20s. to my
godchildren, 12d. each To John Adcocke, my late servant, one secke clothe dublitte and one
pair of ashe hose. To the poor of Leeds, 23s. 4d. Toward the maynteyning ---------- belonging to
the towne and parishe of Leeds, 3s. 4d. To the highways about Leeds, 3s. 4d. To Thomas
Hodgshon, my best shirt, and to his wife one sylver whistle. To Christopher Dickson, one other
shirte. To William Lowcocke and Christopher Musgrave, 41s. which Richard Talier doth owe me,
and 48s. which he doth owe to William Earle, which said 48s. I did buy of the said William Erle,
and the said William Erle is not to be forgiven without the special consent of W. L. and C. M. To
my brother-in-law, John Greve, 3£. 4s. 8d. which Thomas Hull, of Durham, doth owe me, and 40s.
which Anthony Hull doth owe me. To Lawrence Rawson, my new cauves dublitte. Rest to my
brother-in-law, John Greve, who is to be the sole executor. Witnesses - William Lowcocke,
Christopher Musgrave, and Henry Kytchyn, with others.
