16 June 1573; proved 15 May 1576. Body to be buried "emongeste my ancitors" at the west end
of the church of Leeds. Debts and burial expenses. Residue to be divided into three equal parts.
One to the performance of this will, one to Juliane, my wife, and the third to my sexe children,
equally. Of the first part, every one of my eightene graunde-children shall have one ewe, and
every of my god-children 4d., and 2s. to the poor of the township aforesaid. Juliane, my wife, to
have the reaste and ressidew of the said part. To my son, William D., my close which I have in
farme of Mr. William Frauncke, with my lease, &c., in the same. My wife, George D., Richard D.,
the said William, my son, and Dinnis D., executors. Supervisors, Bryan Bayles, esquire;
Alexander Fascette, vicker of Leeds; Gilbert Lyndley, yeoman, and William Marchall, husbandman.
Witnesses: - Lawrence Rawson, William Killingbecke, gentleman, John Jackson, and the said
supervisors, and his four sons above-named.
