1587; proved 19 January 1587: - Body to buried in the parish church of Leeds, "neare my first wyfe
gone before me unto the Lord." Goods to be divided into three parts- one to the performance of
this will; one to Alice, my wife, and the third to Grace, my daughter, and the child now in my wife's
wombe. Wife and brother Thomas to have the use of my lands till debts paid. To brother Thomas,
10£. Bequests to servants. If wife be with child, and it be a son, he is to have all my lands.
Daughter Grace to have her child's portion of 40£. To my two bast-begotten sons, George W., and
John W., 20s. each. Nephew and servant, Thomas W. Nephews, Thomas Birkedaile and
Anthony B., brother-in-law, William Freisbie, Brother Richard W. Nephew, Christopher Freisbie;
his brother Samuel F.; sister, Jane F.; brother-in-law, Edward Broke; brother Robert Broke;
father-in-law John Brooke; brother-in-law, Anthony Byrkhead. Poor of Leeds, 26s. 8d. Executors,
wife Alice and brother Thomas. Witnesses: - George Robinson, the elder, Richard Cowper,
William Coldcole, John Broke, William Byrkhead, Thomas Rame, Henry Kytchinge. Caveat, 15
November 1587.
