Miscellany of trades

  • Post, Money Order, Telegraph Office, and Savings Bank, etc., at the railway station; Mr. A. S. Roberts, postmaster. Letters are sorted, a mail bags made up here for all parts of Yorkshire and Lancashire, Scotland, etc., also London and the West of England. There are Receiving houses and Money Order Offices at Woodhouse Road, Hopetown, and near the church; all Wall Letter Boxes at St. John's and Beck Bridge.
