A Chapelry in the township and parish of Sedbergh, wapentake of Ewcross; 1½ miles from Sedbergh, 6½ from Dent, 8½ from Kendal (Westmoreland). Population 250 (in 1831). The Church is a perpetual curacy, in the deanery of Kirby-Lonsdale, diocese of Chester.
