The place:

A Chapelry in the parish of Sheffield. It was erected in 1788 in the Vicar's Croft, and consecrated in 1789. Population included with Sheffield. The Church, dedicated to St. Mary, was a Chapel of Ease to Sheffield until it became a parish in its own right in 1848.
