The place:

A Chapelry in the parish of Whitgift, wapentake of Osgoldcross, Liberty of Pontefract; 4½ miles from Howden, 10 from Snaith and Crowle (Lincs). The Church, in the peculiar jurisdiction of the Snaith Court, is a perpetual curacy.
