In 1868, the parish of Doagh contained the following places:

"DOAGH, a parish, a grange and postal village in the barony of Upper Antrim, in the county of Antrim, province of Ulster, Ireland. It is situated near Sixmile Water, and is a station on the Belfast and Northern Counties railway, and contains Ballyclare. The surface is boggy, but the arable portion good. Fishwick Lodge, close by, is a hunting-box of the Marquis of Donegal. Here is a dispensary within the Antrim Poor-law Union, and a commodious inn."
