In 1868, the parish of St Munchins contained the following places:

"ST. MUNCHIN'S, a parish partly in the barony of Lower Bunratty, county Clare, and partly in the barony of Pubblebrien, Limerick city, province of Munster, Ireland, 4 miles N.W. of Limerick, which see.
