The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Barnahely contained the following places:

"BARNAHELY, a parish in the barony of Kerrycurrihy, in the county of Cork, province of Munster, Ireland, 7 miles to the S.E. of Cork. It is situated on the shore of Cork harbour, and includes the village of Loughbeg The living is an impropriate rectory in the diocese of Cork, Cloyne, and Ross. Ballybricken is the principal residence."

"LOUGHBEG, a village in the barony of Kerrycurrihy, county Cork, province of Munster, Ireland, near Queenstown."
