The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Clondulane contained the following places:

"CLONDULANE, a parish in the barony of Condons and Clangibbon, in the county of Cork, province of Munster, Ireland, 1 mile to the E. of Fermoy. It is situated upon the river Blackwater. The land is generally of excellent quality, with limestone bottom, and the interior is traversed by the road between Fermoy and Cappoquin. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Cloyne, value £283, in the patronage of the bishop. The church is a neat building, standing 2½ miles from Fermoy, and built in 1812 at the expense of the late Board of First Fruits. There is a National school. Here stood Ballymacpatrick Castle, taken in 1642; on its site is Carey's-ville. There are also ruins of some other castles in the neighbourhood."

"BALLYNAFAUNA, a village in the barony of Condons and Clangibbon, in the county of Cork, province of Munster, Ireland, 2 miles from Fermoy."
