The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Grenagh contained the following places:

"GRENAGH, a parish in the baronies of Barrette and East Muskerry, county Cork, province of Munster, Ireland, 5 miles N.W. of-Blarney. Cork is its post town. The surface is hilly, but the soil good, with a small extent of bog. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Cloyne, value with Garrycloyne, £1,272, in the patronage of the bishop. The Roman Catholic chapel is united to two chapels in the parish of Mourne Abbey. Here are three daily schools."
