The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Imphrick contained the following places:

"IMPHRICK, (or Emerick), a parish in the baronies of Fermoy, and Orrery_and_Kilmore, county Cork, province of Munster, Ireland, 4 miles N.N.W. of Doneraile. Midleton is its post town. It is 2½ miles in length, and near 2 in breadth. The river Awbeg traverses the interior. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Cloyne, value with Lisgoold, £760, in the patronage of the bishop. In the Roman Catholic arrangement it is included in the Ballyhea district. Velvetstown is the principal seat of the neighbourhood."

"BALLYHAURA, a village in the barony of Fermoy, in the county of Cork, province of Munster, Ireland, 3 miles [north-northeast] from Buttevant."
