In 1868, the parish of Kilroe contained the following places:"KILROE, (or Kilmanloe), a parish in the barony of Duhallow, county Cork, province of Munster, Ireland, containing part of Kanturk. It is of small extent. The living is an impropriate rectory in the diocese of Cloyne. There are three day schools in the parish.
