The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Leck contained the following places:

"LECK, a parish in the barony of Raphoe, county Donegal, province of Ulster, Ireland, half a mile E. of Letterkenny, its post town. It is 4; miles long, and its average breadth is 2 miles. The surface is mountainous, and lies to the S. of the head of Lough Swilly. The parish is crossed by the roads from Letterkenny to Lifford and Londonderry. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Derry, in the patronage of the crown. There are a church, two Sunday, and three day schools. Rockhill and Swillyview are the principal residences."

"PLUCK, a hamlet in the parish of Leck, barony of Raphoe, county Donegal, Ireland, 3 miles E.S.E. of Letterkenny."
