In 1868, the parish of Blaris contained the following places:

"BLARIS, (or Lisburn), a parish partly in the barony of Upper Massarene, in the county of Antrim, and partly in the baronies of Upper Castlereagh and Lower Iveagh, in the county of Down, province of Ulster, Ireland, 7 miles to the S.W. of Belfast, and 80 miles to the N. of Dublin. It is situated on the banks of the river Lagan, and contains the market town of Lisburn. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Down, Connor, and Dromore, of the value of £616, in the patronage of the Marquis of Hertford. See Lisburn.
