The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Derrybrusk contained the following places:

"DERRYBRUSK, a parish in the baronies of Magherastephana and Tirkennedy, in the county of Fermanagh, province of Ulster, Ireland, 4 miles N.W. of Maguiresbridge, and 4 from Enniskillin, its post town. The surface is hilly, with a poor soil, and is cut into three parts by intervening strips of the parishes of Derryvullen, Clunish, and Enniskillin. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Clogher, value £118, in the patronage of the bishop. There is no church, but public worship is occasionally held in a schoolroom. There is also a school at Ballyreague. On the shores of Lough Erne are some remains of a Dominican monastery. It stood in the quondam village of Gola, of which there are also some vestiges remaining."
