The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868
In 1868, the parish of Grange Kilree contained the following places:"GRANGE KILREE, a parish in the barony of Shillelogher, county Kilkenny, province of Leinster, Ireland, 3 miles S.E. of Kilkenny. Bennett's-Bridge is its post town. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Ossory, with a part of the benefice of Burnchurch, value £700, in the patronage of the crown. This parish contains the ruins of an old castle."
