The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Tibberaghny contained the following places:

"TIBBERAGHNY, (or Tipheraghny), a parish in the barony of Iverk, county Kilkenny, Ireland, 1 mile W.S.W. of Pilltown. The river Suir traverses the interior. The living is a rectory joined to Fiddown [which see]. The church is in ruins. There are remains of a castle supposed to have been founded by King John.
