The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Ballingarryl contained the following places:

"BALLINGARRY, a parish in the barony of Coshlea, in the county of Limerick, province of Munster, Ireland, 8 miles to the E. of Kilmalock. The district is hilly, and the soil generally good. Cattle and sheep pasture on the hills. The living is a rectory, forming part of the union of Duntrileague, in the diocese of Cashel, Emly, Waterford, and Lismore. The ruined church stands on an eminence."
