The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Cahernarry contained the following places:

"CAHERNARRY, a parish partly in the county of the city of Limerick, and partly in the barony of Clanwilliam, in the county of Limerick, province of Munster, Ireland, 5 miles to the S.E. of Limerick. It lies in a fertile country, near the Waterford and Limerick railway, and contains the village of Ballyneety. Limestone of excellent quality is quarried in the parish. The living is a perpetual curacy in the diocese of Limerick, Ardfert, and Aghadoe, value £91, in the gift of the Dean of Limerick. The chief residences are Cahernarry, Ballyneguard, and Ballyneety House.
