The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868
In 1868, the parish of Donaghmore contained the following places:"DONAGHMORE, a parish in the barony of Clanwilliam, in the county of Limerick, province of Munster, Ireland, 3 miles S.E. of Limerick, its post town. The surface consists of good land, and is traversed by the road from Limerick to Cork. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Limerick, in the patronage of the bishop. The Roman Catholic chapel is united to that of Cahiravalla. There is a daily school. The principal residences are South Hill, Clonlong, and Ballyseeda. The old church is now a picturesque ruin; within its walls are several tombs, including monuments of the Roches.
