The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Killagholehane contained the following places:

"KILLAGHOLEHANE, (or Killaliathan), a parish in the barony of Glenquin, county Limerick, province of Munster, Ireland, 8 miles S. E. of Newcastle. Drumcollogher is its post town. The parish is 2 miles long and 1 mile broad. It contains the village of Broadford. The surface is mountainous, and the soil indifferent. The road from Newcastle to Mallow passes along the eastern boundary. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Limerick, value £30. The church was erected in 1812 by the late Board of First Fruits. The Roman Catholic chapel is united to that of Drumcollogher. There is a day school. Springfield Castle is the mansion of Lord Muskerry. Banmore is another residence.
