In 1868, the parish of Ludden contained the following places:

"LUDDEN, a parish in the barony of Clanwilliam, county Limerick, province of Munster, Ireland, 8 miles N.N.W. of Sixmilebridge. Limerick is its post town. It is 1 mile square. The surface consists of good land. The road from Limerick to Kilmallock traces part of the E. border. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Emly, united with Caherconlish.
