The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Morgans contained the following places:

"MORGANS, a parish in the barony of Lower Connello, county Limerick, province of Munster, Ireland, 2 miles N.W. of Askeaton, its post town. It extends along the bank of the Shannon. The soil is rich. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Limerick, value with Loughill, £108, in the patronage of the bishop. Mount Pleasant is the principal seat of the neighbourhood. Here are the remains of a church formerly belonging to the Knights Templars, called Templemuireguiedan."
