In 1868, the parish of Carrickbaggot contained the following places:

"CARRICKBAGGOT, a parish in the barony of Ferrard, in the county of Louth, province of Leinster, Ireland, 2 miles to the S.E. of Dunleer. The living is a rectory united with that of Rathdrumin, in the diocese of Armagh and Clogher. In the vicinity is Rokeby Hall, the seat of Sir R. Robinson, Bart. The parish contains 826 acres.
