The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Kildemock contained the following places:

"KILDEMOCK, a parish in the barony of Ardee, county Louth, province of Leinster, Ireland, 2 miles S.E. of Ardee, its post town. It is 3 miles long by 2 broad. The surface is tame, consisting of a fair soil, and is crossed by the road from Ardee to Dublin. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Armagh, value with Ardee, £898, in the patronage of the primate. Drakestown is the chief residence."
