The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Mansfieldstown contained the following places:

"MANSFIELDSTOWN, a parish in the barony of Louth, county Louth, province of Leinster, Ireland, 2 miles W. of Castle-Bellingham, its post town. The parish is 2½ miles long by 1½ mile broad. The soil is mostly of good quality. The road from Castle-Bellingham to Tallonstown traverses the parish, and the river Glyde flows along its southern boundary. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Armagh, value £215, in the patronage of the bishop. The church, which stands in the village, is an old structure. There is a day school.
