The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Parsonstown contained the following places:

"PARSONSTOWN, a parish in the barony of Ferrard, county Louth, province of Leinster, Ireland, 2 miles N.W. of Clogher. Dunleer is its post town. It is about a mile in length by three-quarters of a mile in breadth. The soil is of various quality, but well cultivated. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Armagh, value with Dunany £116."
