The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Stickillin contained the following places:

"STICKILLIN, a parish in the barony of Ardee, county Louth, province of Leinster, Ireland, 2 miles E. of Ardee, its post town. The surface extends along the S. bank of the river Dee. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Armagh, value, with Ardee, £898, in the patronage of the primate. Stickillin House is in the vicinity. There are traces of an old burial-ground.
