The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Kilcumreragh contained the following places:

"KILCUMRERAGH, a parish in the baronies of Kilcoursey, Clonlonan, and Moycashel, King's County and county Westmeath, province of Leinster, Ireland, 4 miles N. of Clara. Kilbeggan is its post town. It is 5 miles long by 3 broad. The road from Dublin to Galway passes through the parish. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Meath, value with Ardnurcher, £359, in the patronage of the crown. There is a Roman Catholic chapel and two day schools. Ballintubber, Rosemount, Ballybeg, and Primrose Lodge are the principal residences.
