The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Cooleagh contained the following places:

"COOLEAGH, (or Coolagh), a parish in the barony of Middlethird, in the county of Tipperary, province of Munster. Ireland, 4 miles on the road from Killenaule to Fethard, The soil is good. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Cashel, value with Killenaule, £817, in the patronage of the bishop. The population is small, and there is neither church nor chapel. Knocktopher is the post town.
