The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Dolla contained the following places:

"DOLLA, a parish in the barony of Upper Ormond, in the county of Tipperary, province of Munster, Ireland, 8 miles S. of Nenagh. It is situated on the Anglesey-road from Tipperary to Nenagh. The surface is hilly, with much bog, and is intersected by the head streams of the river, Nenagh. The living is a mensal, and wholly impropriate to the see of Killaloe. This parish has neither church, chapel, nor school. Happy Grove and Trevorstown are the residences."
