The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Donaghmore contained the following places:

"DONAGHMORE, a parish in the baronies of East Iffa and Offa and Middlethird, in the county of Tipperary, province of Munster, Ireland, 2 miles S. of Fethard. It is situated on the road from thence to Clonmel. The surface has considerable tracts of reclaimable bog. The living is a suspended rectory in the diocese of Lismore, value with Kiltigan, £202, in the patronage of the bishop. The old church is a mere ruin. The nearest place of worship is at Lisronagh. There are also some other ecclesiastical remains; and it is said that an abbey once stood here, presided over by St. Farthanan. Limestone is abundant in this locality.
