The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868
In 1868, the parish of Garrangibbon contained the following places:"GARRANGIBBON, a parish in the baronies of East Iffa and Offa and Slievardagh, county Tipperary, province of Munster, Ireland, 6 miles N.W. of Carrick-on-Suir. It lies on either side of the road from Dublin to Cork. The Slievenaman and Knocknaman mountains rise on the W. border. The living is an impropriate rectory in the diocese of Lismore."
