The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Lisbunny contained the following places:

"LISBUNNY, a parish in the barony of Upper Ormond, county Tipperary, province of Munster, Ireland, 1 mile E. of Nenagh, its post town. The parish is 4 miles long by 2 broad. The soil is mostly good. The road from Nenagh to Roscrea traverses the interior. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Killaloe, value with Kilmore, £512, in the patronage of the bishop. Woodbine Lodge is the chief seat. Here are the ruins of an old church, and some castle ruins."
