The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Peppardstown contained the following places:

"PEPPARDSTOWN, (or Pepperstown), a parish in the barony of Middlethird, county Tipperary, province of Munster, Ireland, 1 mile N.E. of Fethard, its post town. The road from Fethard to Drangan passes through the interior. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Cashel, value with Fethard £1,076, in the patronage of the bishop. Knockelly House and Brookhill are the principal residences. There are the ruins of three castles and of two churches.
