In 1868, the parish of Templemichael contained the following places:

"TEMPLEMICHAEL, a parish in the barony of Slievardagh, county Tipperary, province of Munster, Ireland, 7 miles N. of Carrick-on-Suir. Youghal is its post town. The soil is generally fertile. The parish is traversed by the river Lingan. The village of Ninemilehouse is within its limits. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Lismore, value with Dysert £270."
