The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Clonarney contained the following places:

"CLONARNEY, a parish in the barony of Delvin, in the county of Westmeath, province of Leinster, Ireland, 2 miles to the N. of Castletowndelvin, its post town. It is situated on the roads from Athboy and Trim to Granard, and is bounded on the N. by Lough Dole. The surface is boggy, with limestone subsoil. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Meath, value with Castletowndelvin, £230, in the patronage of the crown and the Marquis of Drogheda."
